After Thursday's bizarre traffic light changes, the fallout continues from travel industry bosses. British Airways

has a cunning plan for its Gatwick short haul operations, a new budget airline, and prepare for a bank

Late yesterday, I put on the podcast, the news that Canada, along with a smattering of other countries, including

Switzerland, had been put on the so-called Green List, meaning that you can return from there

without having to self-isolate, even if you haven't been vaccinated. It will make almost no difference.

Canada still won't let us in. A couple of red list countries certainly will make a difference.

Montenegro in the Adriatic coast between Croatia and lovely Albania.

That's gone on the red list requiring 11 nights of hotel quarantine.

And in addition, Thailand.

Much to many people's surprise has been put there.

It certainly wasn't something I was expecting.

Nor indeed was anybody else that I talked to.

It was just a bizarre choice.

We were expecting quite possibly to see that you might have some Caribbean islands, maybe Morocco put on the list.

Personally, I'm very glad they weren't.

But to see Thailand there

was quite a surprise. The travel industry is even more furious than it normally is. Steve Heapy,

the chief executive of Jet 2, called it nothing like a meaningful return to

international travel. So many areas, he says, of everyday life are able to open up properly,
