But just sort of going back over the pros and cons of which I think there's been some good stuff written on both sides.

I read to something from SI.com to lead off the show.

Basically just saying it was an overpayment.

And that, well, the subhead in the story on SI.com is that after years of hoarding assets,

Danny Age's decision to pull the trigger on the Irving trade is somewhat baffling.

And the author makes a point that Jimmy Butler, Paul, George, Chris Paul were all better.

And they all went for less than you paid for Kyrie Irving, who the author says is fourth on that list.

Now, we disagree. I'd rather have Kyrie Irving over Chris Paul. I'd rather

have Kyrieving over Jimmy Butler, I think. Paul George, fair point. So not that every point is... Paul George is the only tough one for me. Those other two, please. I would much rather have Kyrie Irving. But the point is, Minnesota paid much less for Butler than you paid for Irving. and if you just even want to dial it back,

New Orleans paid much less for DeMarcus cousins

than you paid for Irving. And if you just didn't even want to dial it back, New Orleans paid much less for DeMarcus cousins than you paid for Irving.

And so your price tag was much higher than any other deal that's been made for a star.

Furthermore, that author on – and I can't pronounce the name, so I'm going to try.

But the author there on SI.com talks about the fit on the floor.

Basically, that, well, you upgraded the point guard position a little bit, but if you had traded

for George or Butler, now you get an impact wing guy, and you're still great a point guard

because you have Isaiah Thomas. It's just one of those trades would have fit the team better.

Basically, again, they write, not only are the Butler and George, not only are Butler and George better players in Irving,

they would have made more sense on the Celtics roster.

Boston could have had an outstanding perimeter rotation pairing Butler or George with Gordon Hayward,

creating the kind of rangy, versatile group needed to compete with the Warriors.

While Irving is an upgrade over Thomas, he doesn't create huge matchup advantages for Boston against Golden State,
