As of last night at 6.30, as I was sitting in my car during the baseball reporters,

punching the steering wheel because Jim Murray was in the middle of doing the baseball show,

and all I wanted to hear about was the Boston Celtics.

I actually called, talked to their producer at the time, and just was begging for information.

And sure enough, it looks like it ended up going through.

And this is one thing I wanted to mention because last night, Danny Aange went on the conference call to talk to the media. And Isaiah Thomas' hip was brought up. Now, that's something that has been bugging me for the last several months since the end of the postseason. It's been a situation where we never really got any resolution on. It was just lingering out there. Will he get surgery? Will he not? Well, he's going to get a checked on later on and we'll figure out whether or not it's fine. Yeah, it seems like it might be fine, but we're doing some more updates on things. And just this past week, we got Brad Stevens saying, well, you know, we're hoping that he's going to be ready to go for the regular season, but we're going to do another checkup.

At some point, you're just like, you know, crap or get off the pot. Are you going to get surgery? Are you not going to get surgery? And it was somewhat infuriating. And this isn't the slander campaign for Isaiah Thomas. I've been fairly consistent on this throughout the last couple of months. It's been driving me nuts.

So when Danny Ains was asked about Isaiah's hip, whether this was part of the consideration of making the trade for Kyrie Irving,

here's what he had to say yesterday on the conference call.

Some. There's going to be probably a little bit of the delay for Isaiah as he starts the season this year, but I think that Isaiah should be fine and healthy as the season goes along.

Okay. Was it a consideration? Yeah, some. I don't know if he's going to start the season. Now, according to the Cavaliers, they have apparently no short-term concerns on his health.

Right now they're saying no surgery is needed, but they are going to monitor the situation.

Are things worse than we thought they were? You know, it was the most underreported and least talked about thing all summer long.

Wait a second.

The guy, you know, your top player on your team, the number one seed, the Eastern

Conference final, Boston Celtics had to leave the series with a hip injury that didn't

get treated beyond, well, we'll check it again in six weeks.

Absolutely, and it drove me insane.
