And without further ado, I'm going to kick it off and here we go.

On logistics, plan for this event and people have been planning literally for months, if not years,

because this is again the first total solar eclipse coast to coast that we've had in 99 years.

Traffic will be in some areas gridlocked.

Even some of these smaller towns along the path of totality, there could be a pretty bad traffic

situation.

So plan for delays.

It's August.

It's naturally hot across much of the nation.

Make sure that you are planning for that. If you're outside and most people will be watching this

from outside, pack plenty of water. Make sure you've got snacks and beverages for the kids or anyone

else that's going to be there. Make sure you're staying well hydrated. And also don't forget

about sunscreen, Laura,

because people are going to be outside for an extended amount of time.

Bring a comfortable chair and really just have a good time.

Be respectful of others.

Pack your patience.

There will be people who are trying to get special pictures using maybe telescopes or special cameras with solar filters.

You can't just take a picture of this and you don't want to look through a telescope.
