I still believe that. This series this weekend is more important than the Yankees than it is to the Red Sox. However, it's every bit as important as it was a week ago. It's the same margin now going in as it was a week ago. Four on the loss column both times. the Red Sox won that series last week, but they gave the game back at the beginning of the week.

night. The Yankees haven't lost since. And it feels to me like Aaron Judge is starting to hit again

a little bit. New York obviously jumped out to a big lead last night and then they held on to win

that game against the Mets. I'm not saying they've played good competition, but this thing is hardly over. If the Yankees end up coming in here, taking two out of three this weekend, now of a sudden your, you know, your lead is trimmed to three here. And that's a little too close for comfort for me, given that they still get a four game series on the horizon coming up on Labor Day weekend.

And those four are going to be played in New York.

So I know there's this general good feeling around the Red Sox right now.

And probably it for me to sort of pour water on the flame that is burning inside of Red Sox fans right now.

I'm just telling you, it's not over yet. It's not over yet. You have another good series this weekend. You're really good shape. Okay, because again, you'll have taken effectively 10 days off the calendar and even have a bigger lead against the Yankees and you did go in. But don't just think that these are throwaways now because you had a good series last weekend in New York. Look, what's your opening thought? Well, it's been almost 24 hours since the news broke about John Henry wanting to change the name of Yawkeye Way. So we talked about that here, took some texts and callers, I went home, talked to friends and neighbors, went to my real job, talked to people there. So I've gotten a lot of input, read emails, saw the text of all of this.

And I still have yet to this point, despite plenty of people being unhappy about the idea and

plenty of people saying that they don't want it to happen, I've yet to see a single good reason why it

shouldn't. All we got, or all I've seen

since then, was, well, it's always been that way, or why do it, or the slippery slope argument.

But as of yet, I have yet to see a single reason, a single really arguable reason, a good

debate point to say this would be a bad idea. All this is people on the right not wanting to give a win to the people on the left, because that's how they would perceive that. That's pretty much what it is. And it's filled with... Forget right or wrong. It's just all about the PC police, the liberals are going to take over. Like, that's all that that is. Never mind. Yeah. That's all that that is. It immediately becomes, well, where, what happens next? Where do we go from here? Why do it?

And it's well none of that matters why don't you just look at this one thing this one road this one name

just argue that and don't argue anything else just look at that and tell me if the hill you want
