I just want to remind you of this. It's okay.

It's called the imaginary audience.

It's a well-known psychological phenomenon.

It's the concept that you think that everybody's looking at you.

Everybody.

And look, we all have this to some extent, but I tell you what, in school, especially middle school, high school, that's when it's at the worst.

Every decision matters so much because everybody's watching me.

Truth is, people are obsessed with themselves when they're immature.

And when you're young, you're necessarily going to be immature.

Just part of it, you want to grow out of it over time.

A part of the growing out can be going, you know what?

It doesn't matter quite as much as I think it does.

I mean, it really can be a relief.

They did a study, and I mentioned this in my book, and forgive me if you've read this and seen it, but it's the, where they had people wear these huge t-shirts to a college class that had a giant Barry Manelow head on them.

And you would think people would be embarrassed by that.

And they asked them, how many people noticed your Barry Maniloh head?

And they were like, well, everybody did.

And it was like 20% or something like that.

They did a survey.
