| 0:00.0 | I do not think, I do not think. So what do you get this? Guy, blah. Do you even listen to yourself when you talk? Hey, hey, we're live. Woo-hoo! Turn off your radio before it's too late. Hated, hated, hated, hated. I told you this was a bad idea. Felger and Mass, 985, the Sports Hub. | 0:24.0 | Map 985, the Sports Hub. It might have been after that particular play, that long touchdown run for Jacksonville, where the camera panned to Matt Patricia, defensive coordinator, and he just put his head in his hands like, Jesus. Okay, what is happening? There were two of them that caught my attention last night in terms of the sideline cutaways. That was one of them. And this one was a bad look. Again, great commentary there by Scott Zolak. What a horrific angle that Jordan Richards took there. And Atlanta Roberts got blown up on the play, too. Like, a couple of guys that, you know, I think have something to prove here in the preseason. That was not a good look for them either. I've got no use for Jordan Richards. I'm serious. I've got no use for Jordan. It's a guy that people have said has had a good camp up until now. Every time I see the guy play, I think he's got nothing. Like, I have no idea what people see in Jordan Richards. It's another one that I, you know, to me that was one of Belichick's masterful strokes of, you know, reach him for a guy that nobody else had projected that high in the draft. Well, he went to Stanford, so he's got to be smart. |
| 1:11.5 | Holy crap. |
| 1:12.6 | And so watch the replay of it. |
| 1:15.1 | Good God. |
| 1:16.2 | Like, he ran for the hole. |
| 1:18.4 | The guy was already through it. |
| 1:20.5 | It's unbelievable. |
| 1:22.3 | It really was absolutely just horrible, absolutely horrible defense. |
| 1:27.4 | The secondary play last night, can we agree, was wretched. Absolutely positively wretched. The good news is that none of the regulars were out there. So, you know, you had... They sat 37 guys, I think of was. Yeah, so you had no McCordy, neither of the corners. Like, none of them, none of them were out there. They were all, you. But holy crap. It's saying something when that ranks as maybe the worst play of the night, given some of the other calamity that was going on out there. So the Red Sox opened up a big series in New York against the Yankees tonight. This was Maz's opening thought and how this is a big series, really for both teams, even though the Yankees are behind now by four and a half games. And I hold in my hand, just released the Red Sox lineup. And interesting, Maz, because the little leader, Dustin Bidroya is not in the lineup after having a day off. What do you make of this? So to me it tells you that that need. Two days off, really, because he wasn't in it on Wednesday. |
| 3:43.9 | Yeah, so that that neat thing is a serious issue. And you got that sense early on. Like that, you know, again, this is... This goes back to why Nunez was acquired. In part, we all thought it was for third base. And the reality is it might have been more for second base. The more you see it. so like you know how can you get a lefty on the mound on top of it for the Yankees tonight? So in Jaime Garcia, Padraea typically, you know, historically against the left-hand and pitching has done well. I don't know what the numbers are this year, but to me, it's a physical thing. Anytime you're playing a big series, don't you want Padraea out there? Yeah, absolutely. And obviously, they have no issue with him playing as the DH, which they did when he came back. And I was, I know there was something you mentioned before you took off for three days. I liked John Farrell doing that. And the only other change looking at this real quick is I see Mookie Betts batting second tonight rather than was he third. He batted cleanup and then he was third on Wednesday. Right. What do you make of this, anything? Or is just... No, I think they're just trying to find a spot where they can get bets and batts with men on base. That's what they're looking to do. I told you, I want to see them hit against the Yankees, period. And I did look up Pedro against lefties this year. 333 with an OPS over 900. It's not a ton of it, bats, but typically he destroys left-handed pitching. Oh, Garcia sucked since they got him. Yes, so I just look at it and say the knee is obviously a major issue. I don't think it's a minor issue. I think it's a major issue. All right, something to keep our eye on here. Matt and Malden has a thought on Red Sox Yankees here next to your on Felger and Mazz. Hey, Matt. What's up, boys? How are you? |
| 3:41.8 | Good, how are you? Sure. All right, something to keep our eye on here. Matt and Malden has a thought on Red Sox Yankees here next to your On Felger and Maz. |
| 3:42.3 | Hey, Matt. |
| 3:43.6 | What's up, boys? |
| 3:44.2 | Hey, good. How are you? Good. I agree, Matt. Mott's here. I mean, I think you don't want to speak before it's done, but Sunday night should be one for the Red Sox it's still on the mound. and tomorrow night, Severino, |
| 3:56.1 | afternoon, pitching very well. |
| 3:57.9 | So it's going to be tough game even if Farmerance is throwing. |
| 3:59.8 | Tonight's a very important game to stop to see. the all on the mound. And tomorrow night, Severino, afternoon, pitching very well. |
| 3:57.9 | So it's going to be tough game, |
| 3:58.6 | even if Marant's thrown. |
| 3:59.8 | Tonight's a very important game to stop the series. Petroi route, you know, give them another guy who's on the line up who does well against the Yankees. So, I don't know. I just feel like this could be a series right now. like you said, the Sox got to have. |
| 4:13.2 | They've got to set the tone right now. |
