This is the Paracast, and I'm Gene Steinberg,

and we have had quite a bit of reaction in the forums and from email and even on iTunes

as a result of the changeover from an online,

strictly online broadcast to one that is carried by terrestrial stations in the U.S.

by the GCN Radio Network.

Of course, what that means is once you're

on commercial radio, there are more ads, and that's how it works. We use what they call a system

clock, which tells us how much programming we have for every segment, and they have to be within

a tenth of a second, ladies and gentlemen, really, I'm serious. And then how much is for commercials and for local news?

Now, what this means is that every three-hour show has about 12 minutes more content than we used to have with a two-hour show.

The rest is news and also the announcements.

Some people said, why so many commercials other podcasts don't have commercials?

Well, folks, here's the reason.

It's really practical.

Most podcasts are hobbies.

People are just going to their microphones or their headsets, and they're putting out a radio show.
