It's Friday, August 13th, 2021. Let's get into the mix.

Here are your Washington headlines for the day. House Democratic moderates and finally make

their move. Joe Biden's long August and number three, the White House gets some visitors.

Let's start off with this. House Democratic moderates have written a letter

to Nancy Pelosi with this threat. We will not consider voting for a budget resolution until the

bipartisan infrastructure, investment, and jobs act passes the House. So let's explain this.

A couple days ago, we talked about how Nancy Pelosi was easily

winning over the moderates because they didn't make any threats. They didn't band together

and say that they needed to get a vote on the infrastructure package before anything else.

That's what they want, but they weren't making that threat. And now seven of them,

Josh Gottheimer, Carolyn Bordeaux, Philemon Veila, Jared Golden, Henry Quayar,

Vincente Gonzalez, Ed Case, Jim Costa, and Kurt Schrader have written this letter to Nancy Pelosi

saying that they will not vote for a budget until they get a vote on the on the infrastructure package.

This is a big threat for Nancy Pelosi.

If they hold together, they could prevent Pelosi from getting the House budget resolution through her chamber, which would blow up her plans.

Because Pelosi wants the budget to pass.
