I was saying, Troy, that today we will be discussing Mary Carr's memoir lit, which has the distinction of being basically the third in a series of memoirs that Mary Carr has written.

The first was The Liars Club and the second was Cherry.

And I bring that up partly because the Liars Club, as I think many of our listeners will know or remember, kind of helped really bring about the explosion of memoirs, especially kind of memoirs of difficult childhoods that we saw in the 90s. And in fact, on the, I noticed this morning that I was reading the bio on the back of the book and it actually says that.
