Hello again, I'm Arminolny, and this is To the Point from Public Radio International,

a daily look at the issues Americans care about most.

Yesterday, I met with President Bush and informed him of my decision to conclude my government

service as Attorney General of the United States, effective as of September 17, 2007.

Brutal treatment of terrorist detainees, electronic surveillance without judicial approval,

politics in the administration of justice.

Republicans as well as Democrats accused Gonzalez of being less than candid.

On to the point, the latest transition at the highest levels of the Bush administration.
