Welcome back, today we are talking about attorney conflict.

Did I ever think at a million years

I would have a podcast episode on the ins and outs

of the rules of professional conduct?

No, was this something I loved during law school?

No, it's a lot of rules and they interplay

in their very fact specific

and it's not an area of law that I practice.

The rules as a district attorney were much more finite.

The rules in civil practice and private practice

can be different.

And of course, the rules as a criminal defense attorney

are different because you are representing clients.

So today we are going to have to take a minute

and talk about attorney conflict

and the rules of professional responsibility

because it has come up now,

not just in the Idaho case with Brian Cobrager's defense attorney

and Taylor, but it also is a looming question

that really I don't think is gonna get addressed

in the Alec Murdoff murder trial.

So we have these two different areas of potential conflict
