| 1:01.4 | And what they did is they found about 10,000 bills that were essentially copies of model legislation. |
| 1:08.4 | This is legislation that think tanks that industry groups right up, |
| 1:12.4 | and then they pass out to busy state legislators saying, |
| 1:15.4 | hey, it'd be a good idea if you sponsor this for reasons x, y, and z. |
| 1:19.4 | They found about two thirds of those came from either conservative groups or industry groups. |
| 1:23.4 | There were some from liberal groups as well. |
| 1:26.4 | And 2,000 of them passed. 2,000 of them have become laws that are on the books in the states that we all live in. |
