The small practice of doing the good throughout the day

that, you know, when something good happens, say, Hamdala.

When something bad happens, you say, Hamdala, too.

Just the repetition of Hamdala,

so how long does it last?

It does so much for your perspective.

Just the repetition and the action of, you know, doing it,

you know, it's going to hit you in your heart somewhere.

رب او زعني ان اشكر نعمتك اللتي انعمت علي وعلى والدي

و ان عمل صالح ان توبا و اتخلني برحمتك في عبابك صالحين.

So there's the story that I always tell and hatch that gives me in trouble.

It's the hadith of the Prophet ﷺ that husbands try to use against their wives, alright?

Where he mentions that while he was in Islam, the business of the Prophet ﷺ, and the

Sme'il comes to visit Sme'il al-Islam after Sme'il has grown up.

He's married and while he comes to the house of his Sme'il, he has permission from a lot

to go check on him.

So he goes to his home and Sme'il is not home, his wife answers, his wife does not know that

this is her father-in-law and her father-in-law does not tell her that he is her father-in-law.

But she serves this noble looking old man, and the Prophet ﷺ says, how is your situation?

Tell me about your situation.

And all she does is talk about how horrible everything is.
