Happy Thanksgiving, everybody, Dylan here.

Today we want to share a Thanksgiving adjacent story related to drink, such a food and

drink holiday.

We thought this would be a good time to share this.

And this story comes from our friends at the Sporkful, one of our editors, Tracy Samuelson,

and one of our producers, Johanna Mayer, both worked on this episode for the Sporkful.

And when they told us about it, we got pretty excited because it's exactly the kind of

story we love.

It all starts with a mysterious bottle of whiskey, who made it, where did it come from.

And then it leads us on this crazy quest through history, through these amazing characters,

to a bar that has been closed down for years.

At its heart, this story is about the legacy of a very specific place.

So we asked the folks at Sporkful if they would share it with us.
