Adidas has some soccer, football news of its own. The company has extended its apparel sponsorship with one of the

most successful soccer clubs in the world, England's Manchester United. The decade-long deal is

worth a record-breaking $1.2 billion. It also secures Adidas's place as the maker of kids. That's

the uniforms to those of us on this side of the Atlantic, and other

athletic apparel for the world's second most valuable soccer team. Forbes values Manchester

United at about $6 billion. The partnership started more than five years ago when United

parted ways with its former kit maker and Adidas rival Nike after that sponsorship deal ended.
