Summary

Hélène de Pourtalès (1868-1945) was an American-born Swiss sailor who competed in the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris representing Switzerland. She was one of the first 22 women to participate in the Olympics, and one of the first to win an Olympic gold medal.
