Carson Wents and Jean Jackson I need to drop some injury news on you and

unfortunately it's not good. Malik Jackson, the Eagles outstanding defensive

tackle who they got in free agency this

off season was injured during the game. After the game he didn't seem to think it was

going to be a big deal. He called it a little injury but he was walking around in

a walking boot and you'll hear Doug Peterson update that injury coming up here in just a few minutes but it is a significant injury

It does look like they're gonna have to put him on I-R for at least the first half of the season and Doug Peterson as you'll hear does not

sound overly optimistic although not committing one way or the other how long the Eagles

will be without Malik Jackson but obviously coming into the season it was a big hope that he would team up with

Fletcher Cox in the middle of that defensive line to pressure the quarterback up the middle,

which would allow the Eagles to keep everybody in their positions not have to rotate those defensive

ends in the middle and be able to keep Brandon Graham on the outside and keep Derek Barnett on the outside.
