for the very first time since agreeing to a five-year contract extension that made him

the NFL's highest paid player, and he's at the podium with a presser that's blocked,

bloated, and ready for you. I am your host, Rachel Prevet, and this podcast is brought

to a longer deal that was not fully guaranteed. He explained what it means for his agent, Nicole

Ren, to get the deal done in his historic fashion, being a black woman. He shared his teammates

in coach's reactions to the contract extension, and he also expressed what it is about Philly

that makes it so special. Take a listen. Good afternoon. Good morning. First and foremost,

I want to thank God for everything. His grace, his faithfulness, his favor in my life. He

is deserving of every ounce of glory. I want to thank the Eagles organization.

And really thank the Philly's opportunity, not only to lead this team, but to lead this city,

and Philadelphia is a very special place and a place that I want to be for a very long time.

I want to thank Mr. Laurie, Howard, and Julian. Three years ago today,

shocking the world and taking a kid from Oklahoma. I know a lot of people didn't understand at the time,

but it happens. My coaches, Brian, Alex, Tanny, Coach Nick Sireani, Coach Shane Steichen,

my teammates for the support, the commitment, and what we do every day, the ground we put in every day,

the belief, not only myself, not only me, but in themselves. We dedicate so much to this, and

you know, we all invest so much into just trying to be the best that we can be at this craft,

in this craft. So I want to thank everybody for that, and thank everybody for buying into the

culture that we've said here in the enthusiasm we have here right now.
