This particular Old Testament book falls in the genre of wisdom literature

alongside Job and Ecclesiastes

and much of it is believed to have been written by King Solomon.

And it is written to his son and sometimes we see the word sons, dates between about the

10th and the 6th centuries BC and the purpose of it is back in Proverbs 1.

But I want you with your hand right here in Proverbs 8 to turn back to Proverbs

1 and I want you to hear it with me.
