There's so many beautiful places that you can go to in other parts of Japan that are just as beautiful and a lot more off the beaten path. And in a lot of ways, I think it's a lot more welcoming to visitors because there are a lot fewer visitors." Day 1: Arrival in Fukuoka Arrive in Fukuoka, either by bullet train or flight. 1:11.0	It's an amazing place and you should go there to eat, to soak in the onsen, and if you're up for it to hike.

1:27.3	Yes, so it's about five hours by bullet train from Tokyo, just over a two hour flight,
1:32.3	and to the most northern part so to Fukuoka
