Amateur Traveler episode 755. Today the amateur traveler talks about sea lions and

frigate birds, tortoises and turtles, boobies and iguanas as we go to the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador.

Welcome to the amateur traveler. I'm your host Chris Christensen. Let's talk about

Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. No guest to introduce for this episode as it's going to be a solo episode.

I am just recently back from the Galapagos Islands and this was a bucket list trip and I want to tell you about it. Before I do that I should tell you

I don't know how long I've been thinking about a Galapagos trip,

but if you go back in Amateur Traveler, we've done two other episodes on the Galapagos,

and I was re-listing to those before I went and I noticed that the one we did most recently, which was 2007,

I told the guests that I thought we would get to the Galapagos the next year.

So this trip took a little longer than was planned. I usually

ask my guess why should someone go to the Galapagos and that is a pretty easy answer if you like wildlife. This is a singular
