I'd like to welcome to the show Barbaraiedel who is coming to us from Barbolicious.com and has come to talk to us about Sicily.

Barbara welcome to the show.

Hi Chris, thank you for having me. And what's your connection with

Sicily? Well my mother is Sicilian. She was born in Palermo and spent her

first 20 years there and so Sicily has always the home of my heart and I always felt a huge

connection to Sicily and since I grew up in Germany where my father is from with my whole family. We went to Sicily a lot on vacation

when I was young. My mother never wanted to go anywhere else and back home on vacation. So yeah, I think I know Sicily and I can't even

think I know Sicily quite well and I've been there so I can't even

count how many times I've been there and I just love it.

Excellent.

Well and we should say that you are a blogger, obviously, since we gave the

URL for your blog, which is in both German and English, which props for that. For those of us who don't ever get that good in a second language, I appreciate that.

So why should someone go to Sicily?

It's a very unique place during the last 3,000 years actually.
