Sand Beaches, fjords and fishing museums as we go to Lofuten, Norway.

let's talk to the man who wrote the book or at least a book on Norway

about one of his favorite spots in the country.

I'd like to welcome to the show David Nykel,

strangely enough he's come to talk to us about a particular region of Norway.

Thanks Chris it's great to be here. David and I met standing in

Sweden close to Norway there in the Vassa Museum looking at a very big, very catastrophically bad ship.

But we're going to talk about the country next door.

Where specifically are we going to talk about?

I'm going to let you say it because I know I'm going to pronounce it incorrectly.

We are going to the very far north of Norway, to the Loforton Islands.

Now if you look on a map of Norway, it kind of looks like a large spring onion.

You've got the large round ball at the bottom and a stalk that hugs the coastline all the way around to Russia.
