standing stones, cliffs, and crofting as we go to the Hebrides in Scotland.

I know that I should be heading home, but maybe not, maybe not

today.

us about the Hebrides.

Matt welcome to the show. Hi Chris I'm so glad to be here today.

And we say the Hebrides, let's put it on a map before we start talking too much about it.

So we're talking today about Scotland, and particularly the UK's. Scotland being the northernmost country on the main island of Britain.

The Hebrides that we're actually talking about today are to the north and west of the main island.

You're talking quite a distance even from some of the main cities of

Scotland that you think about Glasgow and Edinburgh. There's still a

considerable distance from there to the Hebrides. These are going to be the

Western Islands. That's what they used to call in the Western Isles. There's lots of different

islands there along the west coast that some of them are related to one another both culturally and
