underground rivers and waterfalls, towns designated as magical and a city once thought to have been built by giants

as we go to Central Mexico.

Welcome to the amateur traveler. I'm your host Chris Christensen. Without further

ado, let's go on a road trip through Central Mexico. I'd like to welcome to the show Amy from the traveling together journal

and the YouTube channel of the same name who has come to talk to us about some road trips based outside of Mexico City

in Mexico.

That was a rather complicated way to describe what we're talking about. What we're not. to be that

complicated way to describe what we're talking about.

What we're not going to be talking about Mexico City today,

but a number of different things in the region.

Now, we're going to Mexico City because it's a really cool place and there's lots of cool things to see but why are we leaving the city and going to some of the places you're going to be talking about?

For me and my husband Matt, we are not big city people so and Mexico City is a big city

because we are on this really long road trip, we never actually went inside Mexico City.

But this itinerary I've got planned,

you fly into Mexico City, and then go do all these really awesome things with a rental

car.
