Two years ago I was predicting that the US was going to allow travel to Cuba.

I'm a little less sure now because they just slapped American Express with a penalty $5.2 million to settle a possible

civil liability because it was booking 14,000 tickets issued by its foreign subsidiaries for travel to Cuba and because it is a

US regulated bank that is against the law so it doesn't look like they're getting lax on

the enforcement with Cuba yet.

Speaking of Banana Republic, if you buy your bananas in the store and you see a QR code on it,

they may come from Ecuador.

Ecuador is trying to get more tourism and the way they're advertising is on a

QR code that is the little code that you can read with an application on your
