Melody tells us what to see in Hong Kong from the very western feeling Central neighborhood of Hong Kong island, the peak and the mid-level escalators to the more Chinese neighborhoods in Kowloon and the less populated New Territories. She also takes us out to some of the outlying islands like Lantau island with the Big Buddha & Po Lin Monastery, Cheung Chau Island with its famous bun festival, and the nearly uninhabited Po Toi island.We talk about the 10,000 Buddha Monastery and eat dinner on plastic stools in the middle of the Temple street night market. the first one in the mess that was caused by the Icelandic volcano that was grounding all the flights in Europe,

you may have heard that Ryanair basically decided that they were not going to follow the rules

and put people up in hotels and all of those things. they were required to do by European law. They've just been fined three million

euros or about 3.17 million dollars.

Notice those numbers are getting closer than they used to be.

An Italian agency found that in 178 cases they did not receive the mandatory assistance

such as food, drink, and lodging during the flight shutdown.

Apparently, Australian customs officials have been given new powers to search incoming travelers, laptops, and mobile phones for pornography.
