I have two news stories for you today.

The first one is a report that's come out called

Buckle your seat belts airline executives predict more fees

and plan to sell more services via their websites.

Basically this report has surveyed airlines around the world and found a number of places where airlines are unbundling fees that is charging separate for them.

Those of you in the United States are familiar with that in terms of on board meals not being

included anymore and they have a report on who's charging for what around the

world 52% of airlines are charging for making a booking via the call

center 39% are charging for making a booking via the call center.

39% are charging for on-board meals or sandwiches.

29% are charging for pre-assigned premium seats or exit rows.

26% are charging for an online light snack such as pretzels. 26% are charging for

on board beverages such as cola or juice. 20% are charging for online payment with a credit card, 19% are charging for videos, movies, or

live television, 13% for pre-assigned seats, 8% for checking that first piece of baggage, and 5%
