Joe and I are thrilled today to be joined by Washington-wise man Ron Cling.

Ron is a distinguished attorney and policymaker who began his career as a Supreme Court clerk

for justice Byron White.

Ron has served in senior positions at the White House, the Department of Justice, and

on Capitol Hill.

He is a veteran of seven, yes, seven presidential campaigns.

And in October of 2014, he was appointed by President Obama to serve as the United States Ebola

Response Coordinator.

In the interest of full disclosure, Ron and I have known each other for quite a long time,

but I want to go way back here.

Let's talk about the first campaign you ran.

Well the first campaign I ran was my wife's campaign.

Yeah, so Joe and I went to Georgetown together and my wife was active in the Student Government

in Georgetown.
