Summary

In episode 457 astrologers Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock look ahead at the astrological forecast for August 2024. We spend the first hour of the show discussing recent news and events surrounding the Mars-Uranus conjunction over the past few weeks, and then in the second hour we jump into looking at the astrology of August. The first part of the month is dominated by Mercury going retrograde in Virgo and Leo, and then in the second week Mars moves into a tens conjunction with Jupiter as well as a square with Saturn. The biggest outer planet alignment of the month is Jupiter squaring Saturn in the third week, and around that time Venus in Virgo swings in to square Mars and Jupiter and then oppose Saturn. By the end of the month Mercury finishes its retrograde period and stations direct, while Venus departs from Virgo and moves into its home sign of Libra. 0:21.0	We're going to catch up and spend the first hour of this episode talking about news and events that happened since our last episode and what the astrological correlations were that explained them. And then in the second half of this episode, we're going to jump to the astrological
0:35.0	forecast for August, where we have a big month that I'm calling the Battle of the Benefix and Malefix
0:41.5	because we've got Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Venus all battling it out in like T squares all the way across the middle of the month.

1:04.2	alignments calendar to give a quick overview of the astrology of August before we get
1:09.2	into the news. So right at the top of the month we have a new moon in Leo on August 4th and Venus departs from Leo and Ingresses into the sign of Virgo.
1:18.0	Then our major transit for the first week of the month is Mercury Stationing Retrograde on the 5th of August and it's going to be Retrograde for three weeks all the way until the end of the month.
1:30.0	On the 7th of August, the Retrograde mercury conjoins Venus in early Virgo.
1:35.0	Then we jump to the next week where we have some of our most explosive combinations of the month,
1:41.0	starting with Mars conjoining Jupiter and Gemini on August 14th. of the
1:45.0	monjoining Jupiter and Gemini on August 14th,
1:46.0	the same day Mercury retrogrades out of Virgo and back into Leo.
