Welcome along Explorer. It's that time of the week where we get a bit bored of life down here on planet Earth,

so we search across the solar system in a brand new Fun Kids Science Weekly.

My name is Dan. This week we will get brainy about bugs. You can find out why moths love the light. Most of the insects that are attracted to light or end up at light they're flying.

And so what about flying is really difficult and what might they use light to do?

But it turns out that we think insects are using light to work out which way is up.

And in our quest to discover the smartest science around we are headed into space to take a look

at astrobiology.

We study how life originated on Earth and whether or not it might exist on other planets in the universe.

We get to be in the lab doing really interesting experiments

trying to recreate some of the structures of life and see if they would have

survived on the very earlier. And you can hear how a zoo is trying to save 97 very endangered creatures.

Let's start with your science in the news. China says it's lunar probe has successfully taken off from the far side of the moon

to begin its journey back to Earth. It's carrying the first samples ever collected

from the region. It touched down on the moon a couple of Sundays ago

near a giant crater on the South Pole and then about a day

later it lifted back off the Chinese National Space Administration described the mission's

landing and lift off as an unprecedented feat in human lunar exploration.

It's quite amazing how humans got to the moon

years and years ago, then weren't really fuss about doing it again,

but recently we've become focused on what we can do and it's going to be

amazing to see how different countries work with each other to make the most of
