I'm going to start it off just reading the actual definition from Oxford Languages.com of a narcissist, noun,

a person who has an excessive interest in or admiration of themselves.

Narcissism, personality qualities include thinking very highly of oneself,

needing admiration, believing others are inferior and lacking empathy for others.

I heard a really good statement by Jordan Peterson, who is kind of a new age philosopher,

really good, I like his stuff. And he said, how do I identify a narcissist?

Because we throw that word around a lot.

Yeah.

Men in narcissism, they coat confidence and make you believe it's competence.

When actually it's just like this overconfidence.

And you don't really get to see that they're not competent in what they're confident in until you get to know the real them.

And he was saying a very easy way to identify a man that is a narcissist.

He lacks empathy and he makes everything over-the-top confident because he lacks

competence.

Like we were reading about Kyran last night in our studies, you teach most what you most

need to learn.

something like that. You said it really good. Okay. But I'm going to play the devil's advocate here.

Because the way I see it is nobody is born and said, I'm going to be a narcissist when I grow up.

Nobody wants to be a narcissist.
