0:11.5	today. We're going to talk about asthma and we're going to talk about ear infections. So,
0:17.9	Lauren, what do you want to start? If you want to go asthma, you want to go ear infections first?
0:22.8	Let's go with ear infections first.
0:26.3	Ear infections.
0:27.0	I feel like, well, I just got over an ear infection.
0:28.8	I feel like your infections are going around like crazy.
0:33.2	Yeah, they're, they can be kind of scary for people, especially for like new parents and
0:37.4	things like that.
0:38.1	So what should we start talking about with them?

0:41.2	So air infections are one of the most common things I saw as a nurse practitioner in urgent care.
0:46.6	I worked in urgent care.
0:48.5	So my initial experience as a nurse was in the pediatric ICU and pediatric ER.
0:53.5	Of course, I had kids that come into the ER
0:55.3	for an ear infection because it can be really scary for the child to all of a sudden develop
1:01.5	a high fever. I once had a child in urgent care, have a fever-all seizure, and it came out of
1:07.1	nowhere, and she had an ear infection. The seizure came because of the jump and temperature
1:12.6	that, um, that she was experiencing with this, with this ear infection. And it was fine. She was
1:18.9	fine. She was, she was, she ended up being okay. But, um, it is scary, especially when they get
1:24.8	this high jump and temperature. They are irritable. They don't feel good.
