Hey there, my friends. Welcome back to the morning mindset. I'm glad you with me. It's

time for us to dive into the Word of God again to get our minds aligned with the truth that

He expresses there. And we're looking in John chapter 7, verses 40 through 44 today.

And we're stepping right into a very dramatic situation that's happened in the life of

Jesus. So as we get into it, I'm going to set the stage for you and give you some of

the context. If you'd like to hear that fully explained, you can go back to yesterday's

episode and dig into it. It's really worth a listen because the things that Jesus did

in the context in which he did it really brings this passage to life. So yesterday's

episode would be very helpful. All right, John chapter 7, verses 40 through 44. It says,

when they heard these words, some of the people said, okay, so obviously we need to know

what words did they hear that caused them to say what they're about to say. Okay, now

what they heard was Jesus calling out the Greek word actually says cried out. He screamed.

He yelled in this public setting around the temple when the priest was doing one of the

rituals involved in the celebration of a feast called Sukkot. And what the priest had

done is he had poured out water on the altar where the offering wasn't. He had prayed

for God to provide for Israel once again. And then Jesus cried out and said, anyone who

thirsts should come to me. And I will give him rivers of living water flowing up from

within him. That's what John is referring to when he says when they heard these words.

That's what the people heard. The people said, this really is the prophet. Others said,

this is the Christ. But some said, is the Christ to come from Galilee? Has not the scripture

said that the Christ comes from the offspring of David and comes from Bethlehem, the village

where David was? So there was a division among the people over him. Some of them wanted
