The sound of chanting fans are porting their team on a Saturday afternoon.

I'm in Osniprook, a small town in northern Germany.

And today we're watching Osniprook, the local team,

play Dresden from the east of Germany in the third level of German football.

The sausages have been cooking, the beer is going down, a plenty,

and the chance allowed.

Everything it seems is happy and normal in German football.

But there is something wrong at the heart of the game.

Something really wrong.

In November 2009, the Prosecutors Office in the German City of Bokum

announced that they had ordered 15 arrests as part of an investigation

into match fixing and gambling in football.

The operation looked at over 200 games in 9 European countries

and tracked bets on those matches running into millions of euros.

Although the prosecutors have said almost nothing about the investigation,

we know this.

That amongst those arrested is an old friend of the German authorities.

The Croatian gambler, Ante Sapina,

who was convicted and imprisoned for fraud in relation to match fixing in 2005.
