We're going to take a look at some players who are struggling in the second half of the show and whether or not you should be cutting bait.

But let's start with some headlines.

Drew,

Yordon Alvarez, one of my favorite players to watch,

one of the most productive fantasy players when healthy,

but on the injured list with an oblique injury.

They're calling it oblique discomfort for now.

It's not being called a strain,

which I guess is good news. But the asteros have been very cagey with injury information over the last handful of years. At least it's not the

hand and wrist stuff that has plagued Alvarez for a while now. He's supposed to undergo more

testing this weekend. So there's not an exact timetable yet for what exactly this injury is and how long it's going to take him to recovery.

Like generally, assuming it is an oblique strain, that's going to be more than a couple of weeks.

I would say best case scenario is he's like back toward the end of June, but we're making a lot of

assumptions with that. We'll talk more about the Astros later, actually, but they don't

really have a great plug and play option for DH duties or even the corner outfield. Like

Yainar Diaz should see more DH time. There could be something there for a deep leaguer.

Like put up big minor league numbers.

Has kind of just been rotating in at catcher.

Maybe he gets something going with more of an everyday role.

Maybe if Michael Brantley can get over the hump with his shoulder.
