Three days after a gunman opened fire outside the White House correspondent's dinner,

federal prosecutors have charged a man with attempting to assassinate President Trump.

The 31-year-old, who shot a Secret Service agent before being tackled Saturday, has invoked his right to remain silent. Investigators say he emailed his family an apparent manifesto, signed,

quote, friendly federal assassin. Trump describes the manifesto as a, quote, anti-Christian declaration.

Chief of staff, Susie Wiles, is convening the Secret Service and DHS officials this week to reassess

protocols ahead of the president's upcoming public appearances. Meanwhile, Melania Trump is calling on ABC to fire Jimmy Kimmel over a monologue
