Hey, let's start this episode of KKHI with some great news.

I woke up to an email on this Wednesday morning from a listener who sent me a link

from something that happened at the University of Kansas. We've talked about all these schools

and the changes of things that are going on around the country. We like to point out that

the Lee Summit School District has taken phones away from kids, which we think is a great idea.

Shawnee Mission is working on that now as well, if not finalized their plan.

Good things seem to be happening in education all over the place as educators seem very worried that their world is about to get turned upside down. And this listener sent me a link from some

paperwork that was put out on December 9th at the University of Kansas that the student senate and the board

has dropped the terms social justice and DEI and replace them with community affairs.

That's what it will be called at the University of Kansas.

Whatever community affairs is, we'll keep our eye on this and see if DEI and social

justice become or remain a big part of the experience, if you will, at the University of Kansas.

But great news that they're dropping it. They're literally getting liberal lexicon out of our lives.

It's dropping everywhere. Dei now has become like a curse word and everybody's running from it. So is social justice. And it appears that the University

of Kansas, the student senate and the board have decided it has no place here because people

don't like it. This is what happens when enrollment drops and you start getting people complaining and enrollment is dropping all over

the country and they're seeing a trend. We've talked about all the schools that have had to close.

Look, Kansas, Missouri, K state, they're not in any threat of closing anytime sued, but they

are all in real danger of downsizing. And that means people lose their jobs

and there isn't as much money there because enrollment goes down. This is capitalism in play
