Excite to be back here today with the Adventure Sports podcast, where I'll be reading another extract from my recently released book, The Trail of the Mountain Folk.

In this book I describe my solo journey in 2016 along the mountainous spine of Asia,

where I travelled from Hong Kong to Istanbul.

And today I'm going to read an extract from chapters 9 and 10,

starting in the remote and ruggedly beautiful mountains of

Kazakhstan. I hope you enjoy. There lies in mountaineering, an eternal paradox between danger
