Summary

I recently went out on the streets of Los Angeles and asked complete strangers, “Is America racist?” But instead of accepting a simple “Yes” or “No” answer, I dug a little deeper and tried to promote civil discourse (which seems rarer than ever these days) about a heated topic like racism in America. We might not all agree, but can we still respect each other and engage in real conversations?

1:27.0

What do you mean by not making it a pivotal issue?

1:30.0

So do you still think that there's evidence of systemic racism in America today?

1:34.0

Yeah, definitely. I think that's, I mean, I'm not super, like that's not my field of study,

1:39.0

but definitely from what I've seen, like statistics of like arrests and like jail time served and all these different things.

1:45.0

I feel like though technically, legally, you know, there's more equality, there's still a lot of stuff that's been there.

1:51.0

Stuff that's either like still sort of within the system or it's like subliminal that people don't really feel they need to address
