Summary

We’re back again this week with another two fantastic questions from our podcast listeners.  First up we’ve got Arthur.  Arthur is looking for advice on purchasing his own residential property and getting a lodger to live with him. He’s thinking about leaving London and moving to Manchester where he can afford a two-bedroom terraced house.  However, he keeps waiting for prices to drop or for there to be a crash, but since this is going to be his residential property, should he not care as much? He wants to know if he should just go for it now, but is concerned that as soon as he does there will be a crash.  Hopefully Rob & Rob can help him with this one. Our second caller this week is Will who’s got a bit of a personal question for The Robs.  Obviously, Rob & Rob are massively into investing in property, but he wants to know if either of The Robs put money into their tax free ISAs?  Does Rob D just stick to property or does he do both? Tune in to find out.   Do you have a buy to let or property investment related question for Rob & Rob? You could feature on the next episode by giving us a call on 013 808 00035 and leaving a message with your name and question (normal UK call rates apply).  Or if you prefer, click here to leave a recording via your computer instead. The next question on Ask Rob & Rob could be yours.  Have you joined us over on the Property Hub Forum yet? Hi Robin Rad, love the podcast. I've just sort of discovered it and going back to the

0:49.5

catalogue and finding loads of great information. I wanted to ask you a question about buying a home to live in and having a

0:56.3

lodger. I'm thinking about leaving London for Manchester where I can afford a two bedroom terraced house, a nice one. My problem is that I sort of keep

1:05.4

waiting and waiting for prices to drop or crash, and I just wonder because it's going to be a home that I live in,

1:11.6

should I not really care as much? And because I'm

1:15.0

in should I not really care as much and because I intend on sort of making a little

1:16.1

bit of money through having a lodger in the second room and am I sort of

1:21.3

waiting too long waiting for this crash that may not come and should I just have the confidence to get on with it and just go up and do it?

1:29.0

Obviously the fear is that as soon as I do a month later there's a huge crash or whatever and but yeah

1:35.1

I'd love to know what you think if I'm being too hesitant because I am getting

1:38.0

fed of waiting or should I just head on up there and you know like through the poverty cycle teaches us if there is a

1:44.7

crash it will recover and I plan on the thing there anyway so should I just get on with it.
