On this episode we have Sarah K. Ellis, the CEO of GLAD, we also have David Cole, the National

Legal Director of the ACLU, and we have the news with me, Brittany, Sam and Clint, as

always.

Before we jump in, just one reminder about asking the biggest question that you can ask.

That in this moment, people often are trying to figure out what they can do.

And that makes sense, and people are trying to make a difference where they are.

My challenge to you will be ask the biggest question.

So if the question is about food, it does its in your neighborhood, if the question is

about access to resources, if it's about any mass incarceration, think about like, what

would it mean to get everybody out of jail who shouldn't be there?

What would it mean to feed everybody in your city?

What would it look like to give housing to everybody who is homeless?

Start from the biggest question and work your way backwards.

And I say that because that often encourages us to imagine a world without the constraints,

which is really freeing in terms of thinking about what solutions look like.

Too often, people start from the smallest question that they have, and then they try and

build up.

And that's just a hard way to imagine.

So start from the biggest question.

Start there, and let's go.
