You may have heard that Stephen King's The Stand, the miniseries that I collaborated with

the boss on, is available now on Blu-ray,

much to my surprise. A couple of months ago, I thought it would never happen because it was shot

on 16mm film, and all of the post-production was done on standard definition video in the

pre-HD days. But Paramount and CBS Home Entertainment have gloriously restored it, gone back to the negative.

It really looks far better than ever.
