the writers guild of america is on strike and that includes you and me big time yeah it does indeed

so we got lots and lots of questions from our listeners uh and i'm sure as we go through them and answer them we will get a lot of questions from our listeners uh and I'm sure as we go through them and answer them,

since the strike was called early last year. It's true. We've been out on the picket lines,

a strike captain for part of our your own very own team segment of the writers guild yes yes i was

assigned about 25 writers or so that it's my job to keep them abreast as to what is happening in the

ongoings of the you know the guild conflict with the studios the collective organization the

am ptp and this is a this is a big important one there's more at stake here since probably the time when the guilds were created.

And those guilds were responsible for there being residuals.

The directors guild, the writers guild, the screen actors guild.

If they didn't exist because of really, really hard work by these guilds, there would be no residuals.
