Hello, my friends and welcome to another episode of Ask Marco

where I answer your investing related questions.

Today's question is a great one.

It comes from a young gentleman named Harrison and this is all about the steps to getting started.

He writes, hey Marco, I am looking to start my investment portfolio. I am 24 and have a full-time job, but I'm able to work

from home 70% of the time. I would ideally like to start with a single-family home. I am new to

real estate investing, and I'm looking for guidance on how to take the first actual steps required to create an investment portfolio.

I do have some money set aside for investing but I would love to learn how to use as little as possible.

I have some residential construction experience so I will be performing all non-license-required

repairs on the first home to cut costs.

Any and all advice is welcome. Thanks. So I replied back to him and

I said I'd probably record this on another episode and of course what he said thus far sounds like he's looking at rolling up his

sleeves and doing some of the work himself. But he replied back, he said, hey Marco,

I look forward to hearing the episode. I have been listening to your podcast for a while now and have learned so much.

The irony is, however, the more I learn, the more I realize I do not know yet.

Okay, which prompted my question. I feel like in the investment real estate space, the content, generally speaking, is like drinking out of a fire hose for someone who was just beginning. I want to start building wealth as early as possible. Being

24 I am saving daily and currently have around $17,000 liquid I feel comfortable

investing in my first property. I understand a ton more now than I did a few months ago, but some actionable first steps or training steps would be such a huge help. Love the podcast, Harrison.
