I was going to ask you about the offense align. And here's something I came away from with the game the other day. I mean, we've seen all season that they've been essentially a block away in the run game. And you've highlighted numerous times and you could see clear as day that they were a block away. This was a game where I first time where I watched them and I just felt like they were being asked to almost make impossible blocks. I mean, I remember like a Fred

1:12.4

Johnson having to slant down to make a block that I don't care if he was prime Joe Thomas. He

1:16.6

wasn't making the block. You're right. Yep. And are you seeing that? Because I do notice that

1:22.5

sometimes, not just with the Eagles, so I want you to understand that, you know, because it's not just,

1:26.4

but a lot of times when I watch running plays and understand that, you know, because it's not just, but a lot of times

1:27.9

when I watch running plays and I see, you know, a second level defender essentially being unblocked and make the play right, you know, with the line of scrimmage, basically, one or two yard gain at most. I go back and I watch the play over and over and believe me, I'm not going to sit here and say I'm an offensive line guru.

1:43.6

I'm not.

1:44.0

And, you know, fortunately, I've been able to have been in meetings, you know, at camps over the years, but I'm certainly not, you know, an offensive line coach. But I try to figure out, like, who was supposed to block that guy and is it a realistic block to make? Like, For instance, if you, and I know what you're referring to, if you have a

2:01.3

tackle, okay, and let's just say it's a left tackle for sake of discussion, and you've got a

2:06.4

stacked linebacker who's inside of that tackle, it's almost impossible for him to make a block

2:13.7

where he's going to get to the outside or the inside, I guess it would be, of that stack

2:19.9

backer. And if that's the block you expect him to make, he's just, he's out-athleted right from the

2:25.6

start. And, you know, and again, I look, I see that with a lot of teams at times. And I just wonder,

2:31.5

is that, am I missing something? Is that the block they really expected him to make? Or did the offensive line not make a call right before, you know, based on the front? Because a lot of times, and this I can tell you for a fact, you know, being in these in meetings, as I've been fortunate enough to be in, there's always calls by the O line. You know, so let's say they call whatever the play is. It's inside zone or it's whatever it is. It doesn't matter. And the front is different than maybe, you know, they, I don't want to say they anticipated, but you know, there's a number of different fronts. Fronts move. And, you know, the offensive line, usually the center can make a call. So sometimes I wonder, did they just not make the call? Did he not? You know, I don't know. But you're right. There's times where I just see, you know, someone appearing to be asked to make a block that's just not realistic based on the front and the second level defenders. And the line, or what we would call the linebacker shell. And let me ask you this, then we can go on. Do you think a lot of that had to do with, I just felt like the Bears pre-snap were diagnosing where we were going with the run very like more evidently in this game that I've seen all season. And I felt like they were shifting. And essentially they were shifting and the play was starting and the Eagles were already out. like you know what I mean that like that that being able to make that block was just not

3:44.7

possible due to that late shift and and I was just saying that's what you noticed I mean that's
