Dr. Kim segment where people submit their questions for Dr. Kim, Kimberly, and he answers them.

Thanks for listening. So today I'm asked Dr. Kim. The question that we're going to be answering from one of

our listeners is, you know, my spouse and I can't agree on what kind of education

to give our kids public versus private. What should we do. What a great question. And what a,

you know, we hear this a lot. It's a really major decision deciding what you're going to do

for your kids' education. And there's a lot of different opinions out there. So it makes sense that,

you know, there are going to be some couples out there who disagree.

What do you think, Dr. Kim? What advice do you have for our listener?

You know, I'd also throw probably homeschool in also because that is such an option for so many people now. One, I would say, I would ask a couple, how much information have you really gathered

together? If you're looking at going public, have you

visited that school? Have you talked to the people who, the principal, have you talked to some of the

teachers? Have you sat in on a class? And just so you get more information, whether it's a public

or private school, if most schools will let you do that, they'll let you come in and spend

that time and answer your questions.

If you have a child that's maybe ready for school age, you can take the child up,

see how the child seems at those situations. If you're going to homeschool, I think you've got to talk to other women, other families that are homeschooling, so you get all the information you can.

Once you get all that information, I think you could just

do the simple thing of taking a yellow sheet and put a line down the middle and do your pros and cons

and begin to do all that work before you start the arguments and this way and that way.

And try to be as objective as you can with the information that you've received and then see if you can come

to a conclusion. And I think at that point, I think usually it's going to be pretty clear what
