Hi everybody, welcome back to Ask Alicia, the weekly series where you ask me questions and I answer them.

0:05.5

Maybe. Let's get to your first question this week. First question this week comes from Kirill. Hi, Kiril.

0:12.0

Kiril says, what's the difference between poison and venom? Super good question. So I want to start by talking about venom. So venom is something that comes from an

0:24.3

animal. This is something that happens when the animal bites you or when the animal stings you or when

0:30.7

that happens to another animal. So venom is something that comes out of the animal. Let's say, for

0:36.6

example, a snake bites you. Venom comes out of the animal. Let's say, for example, a snake fights you.

0:38.7

Venom comes out of the animal and goes into your body. It's very deadly. So it could hurt you or it could

1:28.9

but not as an attack, usually, hopefully. So if we see something that's labeled poison

1:35.1

or poisonous, meaning it has poison inside it, that means it is dangerous for the human, like to touch

1:42.1

or to drink or to put on the skin.

1:44.5

That means that it can have a negative reaction or it could kill a person or it could kill an animal.

1:51.0

But when things are poisonous, they generally do not attack us.

1:56.0

They are just things that we have in our home.

1:58.0

So, for example, many cleaning products. If we drink them,

2:02.2

it's poisonous. Like that is poison to the body and we could die if that happens. So poison is
