| 0:00.0 | I'm a gear review by Trial Reternation. Today, Scott, we're going to review a shoe. Today I am in the A6 Gel Fuji Racer 3. Take that shoe off, put it on the table, Scott, so I can take a look at it. Okay, there you go. So what you're telling me, it's a little tight. No, no, no. This thing is super light. Throw it over here and let me check that out. It is less than nine ounces. I think it weighs in at like 8.8 ounces. So it's super light, it's very flexible. Great road feel. It does have something that's very unique that I've never seen before. I'm trying to think what it's called a lace pocket. See that? That's very cool. So you know you tie the bow in your shoelaces, then you take that bow and you stick it in this little lace pocket and then it's out of the way so you're not stepping on it or getting it caught on shrubbery. How long have shoelaces been around, Scott? And we just now figured out a lace pocket. |
| 1:06.6 | That should have come out years ago, shouldn't it? |
| 1:09.4 | I mean, that's like it, no kidding lace pocket. |
| 1:11.8 | Yeah, that's really kind of something that I really liked. |
| 1:16.5 | The other thing, like you have said on previous podcast, |
| 1:20.6 | gear reviews, out of the box, this thing is. |
| 1:24.0 | It looks fast. |
| 1:24.8 | It's nazzy. Yeah, yeah. It is a really cool looking shoe. It's blue with, they call it, it's a Navy Silver Lime Punch. Lime Punch. So I really like that. I really like the lace pocket. It does have some pretty aggressive lugs on the bottom. Yeah. They're not super deep, but they're, they're, it's a, it's a good pattern. It has very, very good trail tread. That looks to me like a shoe that if there was a 50K fast course with some technical, I would strap that on and expect to use that to do some damage. Yeah, and I will say it's probably one of the fastest draining shoes. It is, I mean, the upper is really thin mesh and all that's pretty tough, it seems like. But it's durable yet drainable. It is. The double D's, as I like to call them. The only downside to this shoe that I saw was for my foot, it seemed a little tight around the midfoot. Okay. So, narrow, it's a narrow toe box. Right. like that to shoe talks. I have not toe box midfoot. Okay, so it's a narrow toe box. Right. And I'm going to translate that to shoe talks. I have not toe box midfoot. Scott, nice shoe. What do I pay for that shoe? This thing lists for 110 bucks. So we're talking right in the middle of the bell curve for a pair of shoes. It is. Go to asics.com. Give us the name of that shoe one more time. |
| 2:48.1 | It's the Asics Fuji racer 3. |
